The Rhema Word: Matthew 19:26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”

Ken BensonThis rich man who placed more value on his earthly possessions than the treasure stored up in Heaven, this man who inquired about eternal life, but couldn’t handle the sacrifice. Does he sound like anyone you know?

There was a time in my life when I was this young man, maybe not rich according to the standards of this world’s measure of finance. I was rich in another way, rich with sin and a love for all of the things I believed this world could give to me. It took me a long time to realize that I woke up every morning (by God’s Grace) rich with possibilities but went to bed broke, because I didn’t have a real connection with God.

You see I was one of those people who believed possibilities were under my control and with an equal measure of good luck and hard work I could make things happen. When things didn’t go the way I wanted them to, I just chalked it up as a bad day never understanding that I couldn’t accomplish anything in life without the blessings of God.

It was then that I found out that every success I’d ever had in life was only possible because God allowed it to happen. It didn’t matter what I achieved in this world the ultimate goal was to reach Glory and there was some work I had to do to change my attitude before that could ever happen.

It wasn’t a sad time for me in fact I rejoice when I think about the doors in life God has and will opened for me. I shout, run and scream every time the enemy throws a “Road Block’ in my path because it gives me a chance to leap over it and never miss a step. Yes, it took me awhile to get to this point but now that I’m here I know for a fact there is nothing impossible for my God, doesn’t it bring joy to your heart as you read this Rhema Word today. Now, you can look at all of the impossible things standing in your path and turn them over to the Lord. I believe that as long as we are connected to the vine not only will we achieve great things here in this world, we set ourselves up to be accepted into eternity and for that I would give up everything I have in this world.

I know there may be some hard times “But God” has some surprises for those who are faithful to His call. I know it seems dark at times, but we have a connection to the greatest power source that exists. I know you get weak, weary and tired, just keep on holding on and don’t let go until your blessings flow.

It may be impossible for you, but there is nothing impossible for God! Why don’t you rest your dreams on that?

Live life to the fullest, give back what was given to you and love because it’s just the right thing to do.

Peace & Prayers
Pastor Ken
