The Columbus Park Chicago Chargers Is Heading to the National Championship a third year and a row: The Quest begins to be National Champions.

The Columbus Park Chicago Chargers Youth football and Cheer (CCYP) youth have all worked hard for 10 months; the kids are all having a great season. All 6 CCYP teams are winning, three are 7-1 and heading to the playoffs with intentions on making it to the national championship and one level is 8-1 and is already eligible to compete at the UYFL National Championship in Tampa bay, Florida from December 6th –14th  .

The Last Couple of  years  after several failed attempts to raise funds for some of the underprivileged kids the CCYP Chargers reached out to the city for help weeks before the trip to the national championships in New Orleans and florida  and raised enough funds to go. This year the Chargers are trying to get a jump-start on getting the funds for this year trip in Tampa, Florida.

The Columbus Park Chicago Chargers Youth Program (CCYP) is a non-profit organization founded in 2006. This organization is helping the youth of the Inner City of Chicago by keeping the youth productive and being an alternative to drugs, gangs, guns, failure. CCYP promotes fitness, good sportsmanship; self-esteem and team work in youth between the ages of 5 and 15 years. By offering them a fun after-school and weekend activity, CCYP gives our youth a positive place to direct boundless energy. Today there are 270 kids in the program that are passionate about tackle football and cheerleading but live in low-income households.

We have found out that the trip is very costly to get our kids there, so I am soliciting on behalf of the children of this program that have work very hard in the class room and on the field.  We are in need of some financial support. CCYP teams represent Chicago as a City and Illinois as a state. ALL contributions will help to defray expenses like travel cost, room and board and meals for the participants.( Said Director Michael A Willis.)

A sponsor’s sole link with CCYP is a tax-deductible monetary contribution. You are not required to participate in any way. The City and state is clearly excited and eager to see this program reach success. You can be a part of that excitement by supporting our city youth with a Contribution of anything you find in your heart to give. CCYP will be happy to acknowledge your Contribution on the website and at our numerous events, (unless you prefer otherwise).
