Included in general admission. the Museum’s Black creativity program presents exhibits and programs recognizing the achievements of African Americans in fields such as medicine, music, engineering, film, justice, architecture and science. in its 40th year, Msi presents a retrospective exhibit of this unique program, featuring photographs, memorabilia, videos and hands-on activities. the accompanying juried art exhibition features more than 100 original pieces of art from african-american artists from around the country and includes painting, photography, sculpture and mixed media pieces.
Black creativity; related events in February, during Black History Month, bring the whole family on Monday, Jan. 17 (a free day!) and Saturday, Feb. 12 during Black creativity family days to participate in hands-on activities and live science experiences that focus on energy and how it impacts our lives.
