July 6- Tha House

Tha House is the #1 church for the streets of Chicago.  Its mission is to present the Gospel in a way that will attract the attention of youth in the community.

July 12- Crime Scene: Let Hope Rise
LeClaire-Hearst Park, 5120 W. 44th St. 8p.m.
This is a Chicago collection that explores Chicago’s history of violence and crime to raise awareness about the city’s violence problem.

Bronzville Children’s Museum
9301 S. Stony Island Ave. $5 per person, Tuesday through Thursday 10a.p.-2p.m.
The Bronzeville Children’s Museum is the first and only African American children’s museum in the country.

July 26- I Still Love H.E.R.
Subterranean Lounge, 2011 W. North Ave. 10p.m. until 2a.m.
Dedicated to the love of hip hop and its elements through the feminine experience, I Still Love H.E.R. hosts a monthly event in Chicago where the four elements are represented by featuring a variety of Chicago female DJs, MCs, Breakers and artists.

Weekly and FREE:

606 Hip-Hop Open Mic Night- Subterranean Lounge, 2011 W. North Ave Every Tuesday, 10p.m.-2a.m.
Talented MCs put their rhyme skills to the test in a midnight cypher.

Dusable Museum, 740 East 56th Place, FREE EVERY SUNDAY, 12p.m.-5p.m.

Chicago Children’s Museum, 700 E. Grand Ave.,
Kraft Free Family Night- FREE FOR EVERYONE- Thursday, 5p.m.-8p.m.

Target Free First Sundays- FREE FOR AGES 15 and under- Every first Sunday of the month 10a.m.-5p.m.
